AGAR Gelling Agent, Preston, 7 g / 0.25 oz

Natural thickener from seaweed, Preston AGAR is an essential ingredient for your kitchen. Perfect for making marshmallows, jellies, pastilles, jams, and aspic dishes, it creates a firm and elastic texture without artificial additives. It sets at room temperature and dissolves easily in liquids, giving precise control over the consistency of your culinary creations.

Recommended dosage:

  • 2–3 g per 500 ml liquid for a soft and delicate texture

  • 5–7 g per 500 ml liquid for a firm texture

How to use:
Soak 1 tsp (about 2 g) of agar in 100–200 ml of cold liquid (water, fruit juice, broth) for 15–30 minutes. Then, while stirring constantly over medium heat, heat until fully dissolved and boil for 2–3 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients according to the recipe, stir, bring to a boil again, and pour into molds. Allow to set at room temperature.
